I’ve been really naughty! You know what I mean right?….In the run up to Christmas, I have worked out less and eaten more…eeek! In light of the festive season, I gave myself some, unofficial time off! He He He! As I tucked into my Christmas Dinner and Gluten Free Stuffing (no really), it was Gluten Free,all I could think about was getting back in to my routine.
So… this morning, I jumped out of bed, cleaned my teeth, had a tiddle, and literally went ham. Its amazing how much even the slightest reduction in your workout schedule can have an effect on your endurance, and ability to workout at your usual level and pace, it was devastating!
Okay, Okay so it wasn’t that bad! But literally, after 45 minutes I felt like I had run a marathon. My heart rate was higher than usual and I was soaking wet. I couldn’t drink my water and replenish my water losses fast enough.
So in my usual, over organised style, I have put an intense 30 day, “get back up to standard plan” in place.
No doubt there will be sweat, tears, muscle aches and tantrums! But I’m gonna keep at it, and share my journey along the way!
